Atc scm25a11/10/2023 ![]() I agree, the midrange is like nothing I have ever heard, it's clarity reveals things on albums I have never heard. I would like to hear other readers experience who own them. I'm still using soothe and gulfoss lightly for a little dynamic control of resonant peaks, but generally I'm spending far less time chasing frequencies that I thought bothered me but on the ATC's are revealing themselves as necessary to the harmonic makeup of the overall sound. I recently replaced my 12 year old Mackie HR 824s with ATC SCM25A Pro monitors. Hear what you have been missing from your music with the ATC SCM25A Pro active studio monitors. Tri-amped with a total of 235W, this system is clear and accurate. However I always felt that I was sucking a bit too much life out of the material.Īfter 6 months of solid work on the ATC's, I'm breezing through EQ decisions and finding myself using much broader Q cuts and boosts - which I believe has made my mixes sound more musical and harmonically rich. The ATC SCM20 ASL Pro MKII (5,500 USD/Pair Approx) and the Genelec 'The Ones' 8351 A (8,000 USD/Pair Approx) My question is, which ones would be best in my situation, or would be preferable for mastering, and are the Genelecs really worth the extra 3k I am 19 and prefer to get good gear that will last forever, but that being said the ATCs.
